These drawings are wonderfully evocative. They remind me of Constable's more sombre work after his wife died, albeit tidier. I've been looking at the grasses for ages- I wish you did tutorials!! The texture and movement is excellent. :o)
Constable? I *am* in good company! If you're ever in the area, I'd be glad to give you a tutorial, but mostly it's in the combination of charcoal, erasing, fixing, compressed charcoal, more erasing and smudging, more fixing ....

I set it up as an inducement to me to get moving on the (Almost) Painting A Day, but if I go down that route, there's quite a bit of setting up to do (PayPal, eBay etc), not to mention some actual painting! Watch that space. Oh, I see you are :D
