  1. Somedays I live for donuts.

    Others for steak.

    Others for Leonard Cohen.

I would love to have a donut, but I'm restricting myself. Love your painting. Very wonderful. Especially the illumination from the stand.

Thanks for the tip about "Anonnie mouse". I have been reading various blogs for ages, but could never get the hang of commenting. (My excuse is that I'm too old to keep up with all this technology!) Let's see if this works.

I really do enjoy your blog - I feel an affinity because my mother's family came from Gateshead and Newcastle. Many a childhood holiday spent there in the 40's and 50's!!!!

  5. Jannie -- Steak and Leonard Cohen, eh? I wonder if he's still vegetarian?

Katie -- Donuts are very bad for you. I only have them once a year, at the Hoppings (funfair), which makes them all the more enjoyable.

Sonia -- I'm delighted to have given you voice, and even more pleased that you find something here of interest. Call again.

  8. This one really succeeds! I love urban landscapes and night scenes. Probably share a lot of your light and interests, sitting up the road in Haddington. Next week we take the van for a check-up to Birtley. Small world.

Mmm, donuts. Great stuff, Harry. I'm really enjoying your blog. Please don't tell Graham.

  10. Connie -- Have I got the right Haddington? Between Musselburgh and Dunbar? Seems like a long way to go to Birtley to get a service done. Though the scenery on the drive down is certainly worth it. Wave as you go by :)
