These one line entries are, as you say very much of their time! Having said that - just last month I couldn't get in to see a film ('Arrival" on a Friday night) because it was sold out. Don't happen often!
It's a long time since I couldn't get in, but I do remember when I was a lad long queues for popular films and eventually giving up.
